Incorrect usage of「ぜひ」
The expression “ぜひ” is used with positive statements. It is incorrect to use it with negative sentences.
(It’s correct. It means “Please go”.)
(It’s incorrect.
(It’s correct. It means “Please read this book”.)
(It’s incorrect.
Because “ぜひ” expresses strong hope or emphasis, when used with a negative sentence, the meaning of the word becomes the opposite of what it means. Therefore, the correct usage is to use it with positive sentences.
